BARBOUR is a British family business founded in 1894, which originally manufactured protective clothing for fishermen and sailors that could withstand the worst weather. More than 125 years after its creation, BARBOUR still makes clothing based on its heritage of sustainability, practicality and a particular eye for detail. Its iconic product is the oiled cotton jacket.

In 2021, as part of its sustainable development program, BARBOUR celebrated 100 years of rewaxing (re-waterproofing). The aim is to extend the life of a garment and to limit its impact on the environment. Thus, with rewaxing, you give a second life to your jacket through upcycling and you allow the future generation to wear it. Each year, more than 60,000 waxed jackets are re-waxed and repaired by BARBOUR specialized after-sales services. The brand is distributed in more than forty countries.
